Negotiation analysis and the formal and economic approach to negotiations is not so popular as the behavioral perspective. N.EA team is a team of researches that work actively to popularize the notion of negotiation analysis in Poland. They manage and conduct many research project devoted to negotiation support, electronic negotiation, decision analysis and group decision making as well as publish joint paper in Polish and international journals.

Gregory Kersten

Grzegorz (Gregory) Kersten was a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics. From 1974 to 1984, he worked at the Institute of Management and Personnel Development in Warsaw, and from 1985 to 1999 at Carleton University in Ottawa. From 1999 to 2020, he was a professor at Concordia University in Montreal and an adjunct professor at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. In 2002, he was awarded the Paul Desmarais/Power Corporation Professorship at the University of Ottawa, and since 2006, he held the position of Senior Concordia Research Chair. In 1995, he founded the InterNeg group, which evolved into the InterNeg Research Centre funded by NSERC, SSHRC, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Austria, and other scientific organizations. He was the organizer of the academic life within the INFORMS Section on Group Decision and Negotiation and the editor-in-chief of the JCR-listed journal Group Decision and Negotiation. He authored and co-authored over 100 articles, 2 books, and numerous scientific presentations. A member of the N.EA team and a close friend of its members, he passed away suddenly on May 26, 2020, in Ottawa.

 

Ewa Roszkowska

Ewa Roszkowska is a professor of economics and a faculty member at Bialystok University of Technology. Her research interests include modeling and supporting negotiations, multicriteria decision-making, game theory, social choice theory, the concept of social optimum, risk analysis methods, resolving social conflicts, and the application of multidimensional comparative analysis methods to model social phenomena.

Marzena Filipowicz-Chomko holds a Ph.D. in mathematical sciences and is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at Bialystok University of Technology. Her current research interests focus on multicriteria decision problems, negotiation support methods, and the application of statistical multivariate analysis to describe social phenomena. She is the author of over 30 scientific and popular science publications. She has participated in more than 20 national and international scientific conferences and is a member of the INFORMS Section on Group Decision and Negotiation, the Polish Mathematical Society, and the Association for Mathematics Education.

 

Marek Szopa

Marek Szopa is a professor of physical sciences and a faculty member at the University of Economics in Katowice. He is also a co-founder of the training company EXBIS Business Experts, and since 1992, its managing partner. Marek conducts training and negotiation consultations for employees of commercial firms and administrations, including preparing Polish negotiators for accession talks with the European Union. He serves as the chairman of the Scientific Council of the Negotiation Institute. He is a lecturer and program author for schools and universities, including the University of Silesia, the European Higher School, the National School of Public Administration, the Upper Silesian Higher School of Commerce, the Higher School of Banking and Finance, the Higher Banking School, and the Ewa Kastory Negotiation School. He has worked at the universities of Cologne and Leuven. He collaborates with Western consulting firms such as Change International (Ireland, Germany), WissemaGroup, and Core Commit (the Netherlands). Marek is the author of over 60 scientific publications, academic textbooks on game theory and negotiation, and popular articles. He is often invited to international and national conferences dedicated to the applications of game theory and new ideas in management (e.g., MUWIT Berlin 2006, Global HR&OD Forum 2008, ICGT Stony Brook 2013, TechMine startups 2013, Effectively! Maestry 2013, IWGT&EA Sao Paulo 2014, Congress Ladies Business Class 2015).
